If you want to visit the most magical land full of magnetism country find a cheap ticket and visit Thailand. Thailand is the great destination with rich cultural background, incredible diversity and a wonderful climate suitable for travel almost all year round. The country attracts tourists from all over the world with its stunning beaches, beautiful sceneries, first class hospitality, temples, ruins and welcoming locals.
When to go?
The best season to visit Thailand is from October to March. I have found my tickets for 450EUR 3 months in advance and went to see the beautiful country in March.
How long to stay?
Thailand is huge. I had unfortunately only 3 weeks but if you have more free time go for it!!! In a few years I will try to come back and see parts which I couldn’t discover last time.
What to see? History and nature
The first thing you should do is, of course, visiting the fascinating temples. Many of them you will find already in Bangkok where most probably your trip will start. Situated only one hour by plane from Bangkok is Chiang Rai – northernmost large city in Thailand where you will find completely different landscape.
People come to Thailand to enjoy wonderful beaches and to sunbathe. Warm, clear water, extraordinary marine flora and fauna to gawk at as you swim, snorkel or scuba will keep you busy during the whole day.
Enhance your stay in Thailand with its delicious food which is really very inexpensive. The juxtaposition of sweet, sour, hot and salty tastes makes Thai cuisine so distinct and so special. You’ll definitely find an amazing selection of salads, noodles and snacks!
When I was planning my trip to Thailand I wanted to see as much as possible. Most of the international flights arrive in Bangkok what makes a good start of a trip like it was in my case.
My general plan:
- Bangkok – a few days of sightseeing
- Night train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai
- A week in Chiang Mai (from where I did another trip to Chiang Rai)
- Flight from Chiang Mai to Ko Samui Island
- A day trip to Ko Phangan
- A few days in Ko Samui
- Flight from Ko Samui to Phuket + transfer to Khoa Lak
- Trip to Ko Similan
- Transfer to Phuket + sightseeing
- Flight from Phuket to Bangkok
- A few days in Bangkok
My plan was without many details. I have booked only the first nights in Bangkok and the rest just at the arrival. We have booked also the night train in advance to be sure that we can get in Chiang Mai in time. For the rest we were very flexible.
More detailed information will come in the next posts. If you are planning your trip to Thailand your questions are always welcome.
